स्कूलो में फिजिकल पनिशमेंट (Corporal Punishment): एक अक्षम्य अपराध

हाँलाकि आजकल कई अच्छे स्कूलों मे फिजिकल पनिशनेंट को पूरी तरह से समाप्त कर दिया गया है परंतु अभी भी रुड़की के अधिकांश स्कूलों मे यहाँ सामंती प्रथा कायम है। यह एक ऐसा अपराध है जिसके लिये भगवान भी माफ नही करता। कैसे कोई छोटे - 2 बच्चों की पिटाई कर सकता है। ऐसा तभी हो सकता है जब टीचर मानसिक अवसाद से ग्रस्त हो अथवा वह अपने पढाने मे बच्चों की रूचि कायम नही कर पा रहा हो।

अरिंदम चौधरी ने अपने ब्लाग (पढने के लिये यहाँ क्लिक करें) मे ठीक लिखा है कि अगर बच्चा क्लास मे नही आ रहा अथवा देर से आ रहा है अथवा पढाई मे मन नही लगा रहा है तो दोष बच्चे का नही अपितु टीचर का है। उसके पढाने मे कमी है, वह बच्चों का विश्वास नही जीत पा रहा है, उसके पढाने का तरीका रोचक नही है। ऐसे टीचर को तुरंत स्कूल से निकाल देना चाहिये जैसे कि खुद अरिंदम चौधरी अपने विश्व स्तर के संस्था IIPM मे करते हैं। खुद उनके शब्दो मे In fact, in IIPM, when any teacher comes and complains that some particular section of students is uncontrollable and bad, I drop the teacher. Because it’s my firm belief that no, absolutely no student is bad. Those are teachers who are bad, boring and less passionate about changing lives. So they don’t teach well; and students therefore are not attentive. Finally, the teachers blame the students.

वे आगे लिखते हैं (और बहुत सही लिखते हैं) It’s not a student’s responsibility to enter a classroom and be attentive and learn. It’s a teacher’s responsibility to make the student feel interested in the class and make him feel that it is a life changing experience.

अभिभावक इसके लिये सबसे ज्यादा दोषी हैं क्योकि वे इस सामंती प्रथा के खिलाफ आवाज नही उठाते हैं और तथाकथिक कांवेंट स्कूलों के नाज नखरे उठाते रहते हैं। इसका फायदा स्कूल मैनेजमेंट उठाता है और जमकर बच्चों का शोषण होता रहता है - मानसिक तथा शारिरिक सजा के रूप मे। अभिभावको के एक समिति अवश्य होनी चाहिये ताकि स्कूलों की मनमानी पर लगाम लग सके।
